transmission hot

is it normal for the transmission to get hot through the center stack that goes to the back?

oh hay another question is when i got the car it had a new head unit is there a way to change the info center above the hu

It isn't the transmission getting so hot, it is the exhaust system which runs adjacent to the center tunnel. Just use it as a a good coffee warmer for your cup holder. Perfectly normal.
