If even just 1 is bad or defective, the light will stay on. You need to replace the defective one and your tpms light should come off. Good luck.

It's hard to tell from the outside, you need to check the inside too. Bring it to a tire shop and have them check it for you.

1st check air pressure
then go to the dealer to see if they can reset your tpms by using one of thier tools..
When you got the new sensor put in. they didnt reset the sensors.

Solid would be low or high pressure. Blinking is a malfunction.

There is no need to reset it (and I seriously doubt the dealer does anything special) just put the sensors in the wheels, turn the key on, then off, let it sit for about 15 minutes and you are good to go.

Slightly off topic, what is the life expectancy of the batteries in the sensors? My 8 was built 5/2003 and my TPMS sensors still work fine.

I have an 05 that was built at the end of 04 and 2 of the sensors have died on me so far and 2 of the others are somewhat flaky and they will be replaced when I get new rubber in a few weeks.

They are supposed to last about 8 years, I had to replace one of mine because the battery fell short. Not cheap btw but you only need to replace one if its flashing. If its solid your pressures are off. Also if you used slime in a wheel you must replace it because you clogged the sensor.

I replaced all four a couple months back when I got new tires put on.
I had one that was losing battery after about 5 years.

FYI..............low end is about 26psi and it will go off on the high end around 49-52psi as well.

Have four(one may be bad) sitting around if anybody really, really needs one.

The price as actually come down about $20.00 or more from what they used to be.

'04 Same problem, I just replaced all four. Best deal I could find was from www.palisadesvolvomazdafactoryparts.com $59.17 each.

If anyone else knows of a better deal...

I know this is an old post but I'm finding it this far in the future so I figure someone else might. Tried all of the reset possibilities and nothing. Even disconnected the battery and let it sit. Nothing perfect tire pressure all new TPMS sensors apparently, or installed. Nothing works. Taking it back this week to have them check again and probably screw it up more.
