I went to the service department today to see if I could get the latest flash on my ECU. The woman at the service desk told me that they do not do it unless there is a check engine light or I am having a problem. I told her I was having bad gas mileage and she said I need to bring in readings/evidence that I am having bad gas mileage with at least 5 full tanks minimum.

I personally think this is insane. I didnt purchase the car there, just went there because it is close too my work.

Anyone experience this kind of treatment?

Thinking of complaining to Mazda USA...

 

Called the dealer I bought it at, El Dorado Mazda in McKinney, Texas. I didn't even tell them that I bought the car there and they told me to bring it in, no problems and they would take a look at it and get me taken care of.

Its pretty weak how bad of service you can get from dealer to dealer. Manufactures should have more regulations on how customers are treated.

 

You asked the wrong question.You have to have some evidence that your car is not functioning correctly.
You should ask if Emission Recall Campaign 4206F has been completed on your car.If it has you have the latest flash.If not they will do it without cost to you.

 

i bought my car from town north and had it serviced by them with no issues in the past.

oh and - do what two rotors said.

 

I just went to El Dorado in McKinney and they did it for me.

talk to Victor at Town North instead of that girl he always hooks me up with what I need. I've always taken my 8 there and had no problems

 

Cool I will. Got the motor mounts done and still feel a north to south rocking in the car.

Maybe I just need someone to drive my car to see how it feels.
