Towing Points?

Hello my rx8 is cuurently stuck in my parents yard because I hid it around the back of their house to avoid halloween vandals and it sunk a few inches into the ground. I know that the car came with tow hooks however I was rearended several years ago and this apparently crushed the threads in the holes for the toww hooks. So I'm looking for ideas of where I could tie a toe strap to pull my car out with. I have a full size truck with a v8 so.power wont be a problem. Would one of the control arms for the suspension be alright? I'm looking for ideas as to where others may have towed from. Or if you have any ideas how I could rethread my tow point?

^ What he said. Can't fix stupid with stupid.

a) Get an long eyelet at Home Depot that's small enough in diameter to pass entirely through the bumper frame without engaging the threads. Put nut + washer on it. Pull. Maybe car will move before eyelet breaks, but probably not.

b) Get lots of boards and a jack. Support jack with board. Jack up corner of car. Put board under tire. Repeat 4x. Wait for ground to freeze. Drive away.

Thats a good idea. You can get one that is welded closed to keep it from stretching open. Use a strap and not a chain. It should do the job.

Or how about towing it from the front?

Just hook it around the diff or something...doesn't take that much if you pull it slowly

Use a strap....and don't jerk it and it won't hurt anything
