too soon for scheduled maintenance?

i've had my 2005 for almost 10 months. i'm taking it in for the recall and i want to get the scheduled maintenance done just for convenience. how early is too early to get the 12 month scheduled maintenance done? i have very low mileage (< 5000).

Its not about how long you have had your 8. Its how many miles you have on your car.

Not true........ All you need is the oil changed.

Oil changes over time, regardless of the number of miles you have on it.

I generally go every 6 mo or 5000 miles which ever occurs first. Somtimes I go 6 mo and only put 3000 miles on the car... Other times I put 5000 in 5 months.

Based on that logic I'd have taken your car in a while ago.

IMO... Its up to you zeliggusgus what you want to do. Know your car and how hard you drive it. It gets real hot out where I am in Vegas. I dont want to cook my oil so I tend to change it 1 month early. If I run track and tend to drive hard I'll change my oil early.

My first oil change was at 300 miles. To some people that was way too early, to rotarygod that was too late.

i took it in for the recall yesterday, but didn't get anything else done. i figured 10 months @ < 4500 miles wasn't cause enough to get it done just for convenience. with my low mileage and generally mild driving, i can safely wait another month or so. really, i was just looking to kill 2 birds with one stone, but it's reallly not that much of an inconvenience to do it in 2 trips. just trying to take an advantage of an opportunity to be lazy. but my 8's worth it.

btw, i had my first scheduled maintenance at 2000 miles, just after i broke it in and that was in may.

thanks for the advice.
