Testing a Fuel Pump
I am suspecting that maybe my fuel pump is not working correctly. So i did a poor man's test yesterday.
I took the leading spark plugs out, (like you would when you de-flood, except I left the eccentric shaft sensor, fuel fuse and int-x fuse in) and turned the car over for 10 or so seconds. Of course it did not start but I was thinking i would see fuel vapors or mist coming from under the hood as when you de-flood.
I did not see any fuel vapors or mist nor did I smell any fuel.
Does that mean its not pumping or does it not pump that much to see unless its flooded.
Thanks for any answers out there!
Chris
