tail light water!
cleaning the car yesterday and i seen condensation on my driver side tail light....i thought it was on the outside till i wiped it and nothing came off!....how bad of a problem is this with our cars because i know of quite a few that i seen already....one other in person (flyboi1121) had it bad too...i never got in any accidents or opened the lights up!...this is sad cuz in my last car i had aftermarket tail lights and this never happened...only on the oem...and dont flame me cuz i did a search and it pulled up nothing!.....
Some of the cars had problems with the seals being compromised due to the solvent used to clean the lights upon delivery. There have also been reports of the trunk lid hitting the driver's side light when closed too forcefully and cracking the light just enough to let water in. I believe there is a TSB on this here. Don't know if the stealership will do anything about this, though. Good luck

Condensation isn't enough and some dealers say it is normal and designed that way

Dealers say a lot of things to avoid doing things.
I bought mine used - had condensation. Dealer R/R 'd rt tail with little squabble. Only question is - is there any indication of damage from outside of light. If not - should be replaced under warranty.

thank god! I thought it was something that I did. But just like you guys I have a LOT of condensation on the driver side tail light. I just have to tap the light and we have major drops rolling. The stealerships haven't let me down yet.... yet. I hope they will take care of this or I'll be pissed. No more $$$$!!! Just replaced my entire AC cause of the huge 7" scrap of re-tread road tire that the huge intake opening welcomed. Ca-ching... $600. Grrr... don't hurt my baby!!
Mine just happened last week. At first, there was a lot of condensation. After it rained all day on Thursday, I got about a 1/2 inch of standing water in the taillight! So bizarre, the poor little spider is drowned :-/
-arattle (taking it to the dealer)

Mine is in waiting for a driver's side taillight. Was hoping it would all be done when I took it in to get the brake sqeal fixed last week but unbelievable they had none in stock.
btw--just getting condesation in it.

Can't hurt to take in and ask.
I took my 8 in today because of condensation in the left rear tail light after it rains. This is not a part they stock and they made me book a shop appointment (a week and a half ago) so the tech can look at it before they even order the replacement part.
Now it hasn't rained here in over a week, so when I take it in today of course the fixture is clear as a bell, no condensation. However, I did take a digital picture of the fixture after the last rain (showing fixture, condensation and license plate) and so I just handed the picture to the service writer when I dropped the car off. Got a really weird look back from her but she didn't say anything and when I picked the car up I found out they did go ahead and order the replacement fixture.
What we do for our 8s ...

I live near Seattle and last spring but didn't correct it then (pregnant wife took up most of my time) took it to the dealer last week for unrelated TSB work and mentioned it, but no condensation no fix... I'm just waiting for the rain

My driver's side taillight was completely covered with condensation on the inside. After four days in the sun, most of the water evaporated. I called my dealer and told him about it. He said he would talk to the rep for instructions on how to handle it. The rep told him to: remove the taillight, dry it out completely with a heat gun, seal the leak, put the taillight back, and then wait and see what happens. I asked the dealer how he expected to find the leak. He said he was hopeful that it would be evident. I'm sceptical but I'll play along for now. In the meantime it rained and the condensation is back (although not as severe). Haven't had a chance to get to the dealer yet.
