Exclamation Sunroof interior overhead lights not working

So I just recently bought a 2004 rx8, everything with it is great exepet the fact that the sunroof doesn't move at all whenever I press the switch, it doesn't make any noise. And in addition to that my overhead lights aren't working too.
I recently bought a new battery, checked all the fuses they're all fine.
Any thought or advice on what could be wrong with it?

Interior Lights are independent of Sun Roof Motor, I would be double checking the Light Globes and Fuses, do you have a multi-meter tester or tester light (for wiring) to check IF you have 12Volts @ the Globe copper contacts, and then trace wiring and or loom plugs.

You 'may' have to remove part of ceiling roof trim to trace wiring, however, the Overhead Console with Roof Switches comes out separately without moving roof trim.

Then could be Sun Roof Motor, they can fail, as can Switches, but that is remote.
Switches are only available with new Console.

bump this. i'm having a similar problem and i thought it was a fuse. just changed out my two map lights (did a lot of plugging and unplugging to make sure bulbs were in the right way) and now that i put everything back together, nothing on that panel works. all other interior lights work, so it's not the fuse. could i have shorted the whole map light/sunroof switch??
