Strange problems with 8

So heres the story. Yesterday my car is driving perfectly fine everythings working and so I come back, park it and go back to my room for the night. Next day my alarm does not work, my remote can't turn the alarm on or off or unlock the doors. I think well maybe ill try the other key fob, nope same deal. Now heres where it gets a little bit weirder. I try to turn on the car once I get in manually, car won't start. **** maybe my batteries dead? Nope all lights work, ac goes on, stereo goes on. So wtf? when I open my doors the door lights don't go on (yes the switch is set to door). When I turn the key to start the car the ignition clicks the car primes but the starter does not turn over. Last thing my door lock buttons don't work either. Went through every fuse I could think of that would be connected to this but all of them are ok. Anyone ever deal with anything like this before?
Thanks in advance for any help.
-The maniac.

I had the same issue about 6 months ago and my battery was low on juice. Doors wouldn't unlock with the FOB and the alarm kept going off. Had a friend hook some jumper cables up and was able to start my car up. Your problem sounds similar to mine, but maybe it's something else. Hope that's the fix for you but if not good luck.

Well strangest **** happened today. Nothing was working on my car then suddenly the alarm went off for a long time. The entire electrical system reset itself and now my doors dont lock when they are open and the stereo makes that damn beeping sound again! Oh well at least the car is running now again.

The car pulls more from a battery than expected, if battery is not fully charged you can get some really wierd gremlins - recharge battery but it may take a little longer than expected - then make sure that your inside lights are off and your trunk is closed so it doesn't get drained again. You may need to reset your clock. If this keeps happening get a new battery and have your alternator checked.

If you've never had the battery replaced now would be a good time.

You've got not location listed, and I'm not sure what model year, but I'll assume by your join date it's 04 or 5. In winter climates a battery will show it's weaknesses. The TSB's deal with what (apparently) wasn't exactly a great battery to begin with in the 04 & 05 8s. So if you are somewhere cold it's prlly all battery.

But even somewhere warml, I would still agree that it's battery related. Weird things happen when batteries get low.

Had a truck w/an alarm system that I disabled, b/c of FOB issues. The alarm went off several times over the last year I owned it despite not having been armed in YEARS - all b/c the battery was starting to crap out.
