I had no luck with searching the topic so apologies in advance if I missed something.

My passenger door lock sticks, sometimes it locks/unlocks (when triggered by my remote or power lock button) and sometimes it doesn't (I should say that 90% of the time it doesn't). Even when it doesn't lock/unlock I can see it trying to, so I know it's getting the command, it's like the button itself is binding up or something.

I tried locking/unlocking it by hand like a million times hoping that it was just dirty and that would free it up a little, but no luck. It's a total pain in the rear because I'm always walking up to the car with my kid and his door never unlocks, so I have to have him follow me to my side of the car while I reach in and unlock the other door by hand.

Should I just hit it with some silicon spray ..or? Any suggestions or past experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

 

I've been having this problem as well. Except that mine is on the driver's side. It might just be dirty on the inside, going to take it apart and find out tonight.
