I have a 04 RX8. Just recently my steering wheel with exclamation mark (EPS) light has been on. Sometimes it will go off and the power steering works but turns to the right very easily and to the left little rough. The ligh goes off and on. I'm guessing it may be a short in a wire somewhere since the light goes off and on. I read a thread to replace the positive battery terminals. I've done that and on the same thread I read that the guy cut the wires and re wired the positive cables and EPS (white cable) directly to the battery removing the eps box. Just a direct connection and that it worked. My question is should I attempt to wire the EPS cable with the positive cable and do a direct connection? Has anyone else done this and did it work?
