Sqeaks will not go away.

Ok so about 5 months ago I brought my car in for a sqeaking bearing in the clutch.

While there I had Mazda install my ACT clutch and flywheel for free.

Bearing starts making noise again.

2 day ago I take it to the dealer.

They replaced pilot bearing, clutch release collar, bearing needle, and an oil seal.

I picked it up at noon and after work when my foot isnt on the clutch the squeaking noise is worse then is was before but goes away when I push the clutch in.

Anyone have an idea of what this could be because it is ******* driving me nuts.

When does it squeak? Continuously with the clutch engaged (i.e., pedal out), or only when the clutch pedal is depressed?

Hmmm, probably not a throwout bearing then. Assuming they did, in fact, replace those bearings, I suppose it could be an internal transmission bearing. In any case, you will likely have to take it back to the dealer for a diagnosis/fix. I hope you are still under warranty.

I also noticed when driving spirited, as soon as I engage the clutch at high rpms I hear a squeal when it engages.

Is there any possibility that the clutch is not adjusted properly and the clutch isnt fully engaging?

Don't know about that. Does it squeak when idling in neutral with the pedal out? Then when you depress the pedal it goes away?

yeah

also when accelerating mildly you can gradually hear it increase, yet when doing that if i barely put any pressure on the clutch it doesnt make a noise.

Could be the transmission main shaft bearing, although I believe those are ball bearings and I wouldn't think they would make a squeaking sound when failing. As a last resort, remove the fill plug on the side of the transmission and check the fluid to see if it is full and of a good color.

You think this would cause a problem.

From looking at it, the PFF looks like it is spot on.

Is it possible that I need to adjust the clutch engagement/disengagement point?

Maybe when its engaged it is not fully engaging?

I do have that but that doesnt bother me.

I get a noise that sounds like a cricket chirping when idling and the car is in neutral. So if Im sitting at a red light in neutral the squeaks are there the whole time. The noise gets a bit louder when slowly accelerating.

This only happens when the clutch is engaged, when I press the clutch in and hold it goes away.

PGA issue?

The dealer just called and said its because my ACT clutch is putting too much pressure on the throwout bearing. They said I can go back to OEM clutch or just deal with the noise.

ROFL

Tell ur dealership that they can suck it.

I had ACT clutch b4 and MINE HAD NO NOISE AS LONG AS MY FOOT IS OFF THE PEDAL.

Just deal with the noise ? how about *Let me get my money back for the install* sound to them.

if they cant do it right, they shouldnt even touch it in the first place.

Yeah now I picked it up today, I dont know if it is from my Axial Flow SS but in between shifts there is a noticeable tranny whine.

Im really just about to trade the car in, take my losses and do what I shouldve done in the first place and buy a Honda.

Sorry I have just lost trust in the dealers around here. Everytime they work on it, its a new issue.

Had to take the console apart and reconnect the buttons for the heated seats since they forgot to plug them in.

Im wondering if it could be the clutch not fully engaging creating the squeal?

Would adjusting the clutch pedal do anything?
