short shifter

I have a 2009 gt. I am somewhat disappointed in the shifter. Is it reasonable to consider replacing the present shifter with one from the R3?

the R3 has the same throw, i believe AFE is tryin to come up with one for the 09's

no. i doubt that is true since I have driven both and indeed they promote the fact that it is indeed a shorter throw

The R3 and an 09 shifter is the same. You are mistaken. i have driven both and there was no difference.

Axial Flow is working it...they have had an 09 tranny for quite awhile now trying to work it out.

ive been in the r3 and it feels like a stock 04

many thanks, it seems that i believed the sales person and it influenced my judgment.

I hear the miata short shifter will work since the 09's have the miata trans.
I heard Paul (AxialFlow) was out of the Rx8 business.
