Hey guys,


So my buddy just sold his S2 and he gave me the custom exhaust he had on it. All the exhaust is is the muffler part, minus the muffler. I noticed an issue when I looked at my OEM exhaust and the custom pipe:


My OEM exhaust muffler like slides into the "s" pipe and is clamped onto it, and the custom pipe has a bolt up flange. Pictures below show both.


Is there any difference between S1 and S2 oem exhaust systems? My buddy had this bolted directly to his oem exhaust.

 

There is no flange there on the S2 exhaust, it is the same as it is on the S1's. He must have had it modified or did not give you the section of pipe that goes from the mufflers (or your Y pipe) to the midpipe. BTW. that will sound like dog ****.

 

Thanks, I'll check if he still has the Y pipe or if I'll need to grab an aftermarket one. He ran it on his S2 and it sounded phenomenal, I'll have it paired with my MazSport dual resonated so we'll see how it sounds

 

I guess sound quality is subjective. An uncorked Renesis sounds like **** to me.
