2005 mazda rx8 55k miles wont start

only way to start it has been with a rolling start, and even after that there is no power to any of the electonic components.

only things that work is

headlights
horn
blinkers
power steering

 

I just joined the board today, and my friend just had this exact same problem with his car. All the electrical pretty much died and nothing else works. He can't drive the car either because the fans won't come on. I have an FD so I was trying to help him out, but we checked all the fuses and it seems like nothing is showing up as a fault. His starter also isn't working, but I find it weird that this occurred just as all the other electrical went out as well, so I don't think the starter is actually bad. I have the car at my house now since he had to get back to California today (he's in the military) so I'm trying to get this fixed so he can come pick up his car.

I'll let you know what I find out, but let's keep this post going so we can hopefully help out other people as well.

 

Charge and load test the battery, clean and tighten all the battery connections, check the alternaor out put after you get it started.

 

Same with my car old post I kno but what was the problem?

 

120a fuse usually the problem check that

 

All fuses check its not that
