RX8 no start died on highway
Well the story goes, I got out of school driving down the highway going to a ramp to get on another highway downshift to 3rd (around 5-6krpm) the car starts to stumble and i push the clutch in and it dies i stick into third and try to "kick" start but more shaking and stumbling on it self, i try cranking it after i stop on the side of the highway no start battery is very weak by the time i stop. Well get it home and try to start it with gas pedal on the floor and it "back fires" through the intake never seen it do that before and pulled the plugs (which i had replaced like a 1-2 weeks prior) and they were very fouled up cleaned them tried again and nothing. Any ideas guys? What steps should i take in trying to diagnose my issue and also why the popping through the intake? Also pulled the codes for it and its a misfire in cylinder 2 p0302.

. And also like a couple days earlier it was in my driveway and the car started having rough idle n i revved it and it was smoking for it a bit(struggled a little to rev) took it for a drive and after it was fine. I believe it was unburnt fuel.
I do my own oil changes so I really don't have receipts for those n the coils last time I talked to the dealer they were giving me crap for not buying them from that dealer... But I will call the new dealer which replaced that dealer. But my engine was leaking oil from the front some where would that some how cause them to decline it also?? The previous dealer was complaining about aem cai just because it's not mazdaspeed n I had a Catless pipe n they said they were going to void my warranty but idk If they did...
those mods shoud not void your warranty. see if you can find some reciepts for oil and filters, or if you used a credit card you might be able to get some recipts. you can always try another dealer
Hopefully you didn't oil starve especially because you said you had an oil leak already. Get your coils changed, if not this sounds like a catastrophic engine failure, one or more of your seals gave way.
Try Hiley Mazda of Arlington (I noticed you live in mesquite)...I've been 2 times for different reasons...Never paid a cent at either visit...they threw everything under my warranty even though I was at 101k miles...it's worth a shot.
