lol, would be a good place to start. Have it tested at a place like advanced auto b4 buying a new one.

If it is not the battery, the starter is likely the issue. The 04s and 05s had the weak starters. You could either find a reman from a vendor on the forums or try to source one from a junkyard off a 2006-2008. I have a 2005 and had the same issue, but got a starter from a 2006 and it starts right up now.

With the mileage you have, I would seriously consider replacing all the Ignition coils, Plugs, and wires along with that new battery. I had the OEM factory starter in my 2004 until last year when I had at least 143,000 miles. It lasted almost as long as my OEM engine before I had a MAZDA reman' 25,000 miles afterward.

Im just hoping its not low compression or engine death .. a lot of fourms just say that failed a hot start 9 outta 10 times is engine death ... i tried doing it today and it seemed to start hot with it hooked up to another car via jumper cables .. im gonna have a look around some junk yards n see if i can pick some stuff up ... i might just end up having to take it in for a compression test before i start splashing on new parts for a car thats gonna die soon
