Car runs very well with seeming endless power when it is cool. If the air temp is above 80 or after the engine gets hot, car begins to run poorly. Want rev as fast, rattles like using low octane fuel and engine has a different noise. Any ideas what this problem might be.:https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/dunno.gif

 

This sounds a lot like the problem I've been having lately. Also, the engine doesn't have the pull that it normally does when you press the accelerator, it idles rough (it died on me three times on Fri.) and it also consumes more fuel than usual. If anyone out there has any clue as to what the problem is I would appreciate it. I'm sure Carlejoyce would too. Also, I have no CEL so there are no codes to clue me in on what the problem might be.

 

I think everyone other than you has a problem with their engines if yours has ENDLESS POWER
