hi guys,

My rx8 could not start yesterday, when i try to start the engine i get "TICK TICK TICK" sound only. So the 1st thing i thought that my battery is flat.
So bought a new battery and put it in.
Unfortunately i still get "TICK TICK TICK" and my console dash lights, RPM Meter everything goes UP & DOWN BLINK BLINK BLINK"

PLease advise!! What is wrong?
There isnt even any CRANK at all

 

Did you clean the battery connections and make sure they are on tight?

The only other thing I could see is it being your starter. Have you ever changed that?

 

Had the same issue a while back - if I remember correctly the "Tick"-Sound is the starter relais, so technically your starter doesn't even try to crank (please correct me if I'm wrong).

I fixed it with a new battery, but you might want to check your connections (including the grounding-cable).
