Hi today i tried to start the car but it wouldn't start, the battery had run out, even though no lights or anything else was on, i recharged the battery with the whole day and when i try to start it now, it still won't start. I can here the starter click but engine won't crank, (also all the dials on the rev screen area start to go crazy moving to max than mid and back down)and there's a high pitched noise from the engine when i try to start it. The last time i used it was last night and i drove it through heavy rain and flooded streets. Can any one tell me what could be wrong with it. thx :D

 

i am having the same problem with my 2004.i bought a new battery and when i turn the key i can hear my starter and smell gas but the car is not working which freaks me out

 

That sounds like a low battery or connection issue.

That sounds like a starter or ring gear issue. Can you upload a video?

 

I also have a 2004 that had dead battery.

Took it out and recharged it and when I started car, it ran for about 15 seconds and died.

Restarted car a second time and it died after 15 seconds.

It was almost like it had some ignition stop device to prevent theft. I'm stumped!
