Called industrial fallout - the spot has to be ground down and repainted from scratch. IT WILL GET WORSE; get it fixed asap.

I just had mine done; cost me $1500 for the bumper; both doors, both rear quarter panels and the roof fallout to get fixed.

Unless the car is less than a year old; your screwed.

Most industrial fallout takes about a year or less to materialize.

What happens is hot metal burns through the paint taking a bit of moisture with it.... then the moisture causes the metal piece to rust and spiderweb the paint.... nothing the dealer can do about it - or anyone for that matter.

Picture someone grinding metal around your car and a small red hot shaving gets on it....

That is fallout - and you will need to get it fixed. Covering it will slow it down but it will not stop it from spreading.

Yeah fallout is uber-gay; I had mine after less than a year of ownership....

Just have to bite the bullet and get it fixed right.
