IL Rubbing noise coming from rear end

Any ideas please?
I have an 07 rx8, for about a year. Shortly after buying this car I noticed a rubbing noise coming from the rear end. I mainly heard this when in reverse but started to hear it after driving. It happens when I start from a complete stop and I am turning left or right. The longer Drive for the day the worse and intense it gets. If I drive on the interstate and then get off on an exit, and start form a complete start it actually shakes the whole car. I've had the dealership look at it twice and they are absolutley certain that it's not the tires rubbing. With that said they don't know what it is. Please any info would help so I can go back to the dealer with some ideas!

thanks

possible wheel bearing. Do a slalom, if you drive the car hard left to right over the road and it cuts in and out you might need a new hub.

Someone suggested that once, except it doesn't make any noise while already rolling. Only from a complete stop in which i make a turn in either direction

sounds like a bearing issue, should be covered under warranty if you have an '07.

any chance your lug nuts are loose?
it's a rubbing, not some sort of clanking noise?

lug nuts are tight. The best description of the noise would be if I installed a set of 38inch mud tires on my car, thats what it sounds like when turning. If i make a turn in second gear I get no noise. It's only in first gear up to about 15mph while turning!
