Ok so my dad owns a muffler shop and yesterday I decided to try to make my own cold air intake instead of buying one. It went great, I used 3 inch pipe and was able to make a one piece cai. I have reset the ecu, but the idle is **** now, and when I am driving around it feels like it is sputtering at certain times when I give it gas. Any ideas on what is going on with it?

 

no screen, maf getting confused/too much air getting past unmetered. maybe left the little vac line from under the manifold to the solenoid uncapped/off.

also, 3 inch piping is a downgrade from factory specs.

Well what size should it be if not 3inch, I used 3 inch because that was the size of the aem and mazdaspeed cai?

 

AEM/Mazdaspeed CAI as well as the factory tube is 3.375" ID
