Rough after warmup

2004 RX8, runs ok for 15 - 30 minutes then starts to miss. Longer it runs worse it gets. Can't even think about running the AC. Changed coils and plugs, helped for a while but now doing the same thing. I rev it to 5 - 6K before turning it off, run super unleaded.

Any suggestions?

How many miles on the car? I would take the car to the dealership when you are having the problems. Then have the service manager test drive the car with you. Sounds like its time for a new engine

Approx 71,000. I am thinking I may have gotten some bad coil's, get what you pay for? Check engine light came on, Cyl 1 misfire, put coil #1 in #4. Put old coil in #1, last code read misfire multi cyl? It is worth a shot to change plugs, coils and wires or just take it to the dealer?

What is the difference on checking compression on a rotary engne compared to a "regular" one. What compression should it have?

Yes go to the DIY section and carefully clean it with the proper cleaner.

Yes plugs coils and wires are well worth the effort. They can be put in with a buddy in about an hour and save yourself about $400 in labor. Here is a good place to get it all together....
