removed coolant cap early

I was checking the coolant earlier and although I had waited for the car to cool, apparently I'm impatient and it was still a little warmer than I thought. It didn't spray or explode all over or on me as I waited to avoid this but it did slowly bubble over the top a little bit before I popped the cap back on. Is there anything to worry about? trapped air or what not, the coolant was replaced somewhat recently and I don't think much escaped. Thanks

In terms of the escaped coolant damaging anything? Probably not, unless a lot bubbled over. It could damage the power steering connectors, but a lot would have to leak down there. If you meant you were worried about the fact it bubbled, that's pretty normal, but if it bothers you, take the cap off and start the car. If it bubbles a lot when running you could have a problem. It might have bubbled over because it's overfilled as well
