Rear main seal leak input shaft play related?
Hey guys,
Ok so I just swapped out my stock clutch and flywheel for an ACT kit got it all back together and drove it for only 30 miles and noticed some problems. Oil was leaking out of my bell housing from the rear main seal. Took the car back apart and the rear main seal looked fine as does the flywheel and counter weight the match up just as well as the stock setup so I know there is a tight fit keeping the seal in place. I also notice though some play on the input shaft of the transmission and can't find a Mazda spec anywhere as the amount of play I should have if any and if it's out of spec, anyone here heard of or had anything similar happen would input shaft play cause a rear main seal leak or could it just have been a faulty seal??
