Wierd electrical issue

Hey guys, so yesterday I had a weird issue with my car. It had been sitting for a few days and when I went to start it yesterday, I turned the key and the dash indicators flashed for maybe a second then shut off and the whole electrical system reset. I then turned the key again and it started up no problem but everything was reset, like if the battery had been disconnected. Nothing wrong with the car driving wise after that, just at startup. I drove it around, turned it off and on, and there were no issues. I am going to see if it happens again, but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone else experienced that kind of issue. We did have a very sever thunderstorm over the weekend, but I don't think that would cause it unless maybe it was struck by lightning? Anyways, it was just weird. Oh and the battery in the car is brand new, just put it in in April.

Also, I had used my secondary key as my main key that I always use was not on me.

Battery terminals are probably dirty, and high humidity during the thunderstorm made things worse. See if they need a cleanup.

Could be anything. As long as the issues don't repeate I would not worry.

Thanks guys. I may look at the battery terminals to see if there is any corrosion. Not overly worried unless it happens again.

Happened again tonight. I'll try to explain better.

I put key in ignition, turn key, dash flickers and then turns off. Take key out. Put key back in, turn key and nothing. Take key out put back in again.nkthing. now I'm thinking it's serious and I'll need a tow. Try again, I put key in, turn it hold it and then it fired up. Its as if the battery gets disconnected for some reason.

Ok, I think I solved this. Battery connection was loose. Also, cleaned corrosion on the terminals.
