i recently went on a 350 mile trip in my 8. pretty uneventful, had the usual niggling probs like the intermittent radiator warning light, and one ECU due to emissions (i got excited for a brief moment :-D) but when i pulled into a service stop, the poor thing sounded like a bag of bolts :-( rattling away in neutral, and being accompanied by a squeak when in 1st gear. still drove fine, no issues at all, just sounded 'rough'. but this only seems to rear its head when my 8 is hot. i've noticed a slight, and i mean slight dip in power towards the top of the revs, only brielfy, poss between 7-8k, i'm inclined to think it may be my clutch or somthing related cos the noise changes when i depress the clutch/pop into gear, but then the dip in power makes me think big probs :-(
i use standard petrol (UK car) and have had it serviced recently, any ideas folks?
