Arrow Racing seat installed (Airbag light on!!)

Hello there,

Sorry to bother, I am not quite sure I understand the bypass method that I found in some thread.

Is the 1w 2.2ohm resistor that you have to buy and plug it back to the connector to fool the sensor? Please let me know where you get that?

I heard that even if the airbag light went away, the passangers airbag will not work as well. Simply the purpose is to make the light go away....

Thanks for your reply in advance.

Are you near any Radio Shack's? They would have resistors. As for the light in general why is it a big deal? Cover it with tape, less can go wrong. For the number of bags in the car it wouldn't make any sense for the whole system to fail because one bad didn't work.
My advice is to cover the light with tape and don't worry.

I think the thread below does state what size was used.

if you think the light worries you, wait until you're heading towards something that makes you wish the airbags were still functional

What's the law on this?
As far as I know you can't tamper with front air bags.

If you car gets old and gets in a wreck. The insurance company can total it if its more money to replace the bags than what the car is worth.

It happens every day.

FYI - The Airbag light being on mean the ENTIRE airbag system is NON functional. No airbags will be deployed in the event of an accident, not just the seat air bags.
