Do you have any mods? Are you getting a CEL? If so what are they? Have you done a de-carbon cleaning? What other service has it had?

I would try a can of Seafoam($8 Walmart) and add it to a half or quarter tank of gas and ring it out give it a few revs to the redline after it warms up. When I brought mine in with low compression they did a Zoom cleaning N/C. It says in the "TSB" it's covered till the 8yr-100K mile engine warranty runs out. Compression should be checked.

You can put it in the tank or you can follow the very helpful seafoam DIY in the DIY forum. Its a bit more involved than just "putting it in the engine hose" though.

Look under the car after driving at night for a glowing catalytic convertor.

If you can follow the "TSB" and use Seafoam in the place of the ZOOM cleaner. Or do like I said above..... add a can when your at a quarter tank and after it's warmed up good drive it like you stole it.

That description also sounds like when I was half full of gas on the track, and it would quit a few seconds then take off, and my 8 only had 10k miles on it.

I'm suprised that Charles from BHR didn't mention the possibility.

I put on the BHR fuel pump upgrade, and never had any more surges anywhere.
