Problems with non-electric seats in 2007 RX8 Sport

Just a heads up, my RX8 is back at the dealership for repair. It looks like Mazda has ran wires for the electrical system through the elbow joint of one of the bars under the drivers seat. One of the bolts (on the right side of the seat if you are sitting on it), wasn't properly tightened, resulting in the drivers seat sinking on one side. When that happened, it seems to have pinched the wires, because the clock, fob, radio, interior lights etc, have all stopped working and the CEL came up.

Dealer is trying to figure it out, none of the fuses were blown, anyone else have this problem (or at least an electrical problem with the clock, fob, radio, lights and CEL coming up?). The dealer is working on it, but I need the car back asap (business trip coming up), so anything I can pass along to help speed things up would be helpful.

Thanks

Drivers seat replaced

Looks like the dealer is replacing the drivers seat and has fixed the short. They are saying its an outside source, looks like it was either an accessory (shouldn't it have blown a fuse?), or more likely the wiring harness under the drivers seat shorting out against the metal part of the seat when it broke!

I guess if you're buying an 07, check to see where the wires are run under the drivers seat and the front / height support works ok!

Seat track and "Room" Fuse

I got my RX8 back today. Got better details from the tech. Looks like the drivers seat "track" was broken, they replaced it and the lower part of the seat.

The electrical problem was caused by an outside source, but it apparantly blew the room fuse (anyone know which one this is?) but the fuse itself didn't look blown, but it wasn't passing current.

Room fuse is in the kicker panel just to the left of the clutch.

Lol, it took the dealer 2 days to figure out you had a blown fuse?
