Problems after AEM CAI install
Hello. I just installed the AEM CAI intake in my 2004 RX8 and now when I give it gas in first gear , it bogs on me. I didn't have the problem with stock intake. So I am very frustrated now. When I press the gas , the car takes about a second and slowly moves on. Any ideas? Thank you

There are no check engine lights on. Called Tech support for auto anything.com. they said I didn't need to attach a couple of the vacuum lines. There was at least one or two. The one at the front of the intake which is near the base of the hood. And one of the three lines which are at the biggening of the intake.
I just looked up the vfad lines. There were only places to attach two of the three. The third we plugged up with liquid cement.

Yeah you really need the lines to be plugged in correctly. I don't have an AEM, but someone here should help, or you can check AEMs site for their instructions. I don't know who or what autoanything is, but unless they see a lot of RX8's, I wouldn't trust them.
Also, please remove the liquid cement and find a bolt or something more substantial to plug the lines with. You don't want that cement dislodging and going into the engine.
A picture of how you currently have it plugged in would help us help you.

Contact AEM for proper installation. it is obvious you have a vacuum leak, with a line incorrectly installed. I have had an AEM CAI (actually a Mazdaspeed CAI, the same thing) on my RX8 since 2008 and it has worked great from day one, no issues ever.

Charles R HIll, is on point as well if you still have issues with hesitation after the vacuum lines are squared away. We have installed a few on customer cars and the screens really need to be dead straight.
We assemble all those sections of pipe out of the car and install them as one unit to keep them straight. Solves the issue every time.
