Hi guys, wondering if we have any gurus willing to help?... Now having replaced coils leads and plugs along with filter and air sensor clean, and done an ecu reset i cant seem to get rid of power loss and rattle above 7k revs, any pointers would be appreciated. Having gone through a lot of posts im now a bit lost as to where to go from here.

What year is your car? Mileage? Mods?

I'd check your cat converter. Pull down the front end and look inside with a flashlight.

This is also a common issue, and could be diagnosed using the search feature that this forum provides. If you find it difficult to use, try google search feature ( site:rx8club.com "insert search text here")

 

What did the dealer say?? I'm surprised they couldn't correct this.

 

2005-231/6 speed, 75,000 miles, milltek/Pettit exhaust, k&n panel filter. cat was replaced end of last year but i'll endeavour to check it at the weekend. I doubled my premix today and tried a rev up through the gears, slowly it went to the red line rattle free but felt a little hessitant/surgy in places in third gear and forth just felt sluggish, so i guess the cats a good bet.I'll keep the premix level at 240 for now. And check the cat first opportunity.

Search "marbles in a can". Perhaps the aux port valve isn't opening?
