Pioneer F900BT install issue

Good evening my fellow rotary lovers. So I just installed Pioneer DVD with Metra kit and interface since our radio and climate controls are all in one unit but now i have a few issues:
-the volume control lights on steering wheel don't light up
-tiny lights that illuminate window control buttons don't light up
-gearbox shift lights don't light up
-climate control lights don't light up

So what do you guys think might be the problem. I have checked the fuses and they are fine I just don't know what else to check. Do you think its something big or a quick fix? Please please let me know whats up

search a little here. my first though at the problem and a stab in the dark is that i would pull the stereo back out and check for any connectors that may have gotten unplugged or looked over. next, i would download an oem wiring diagram and make sure the steering wheel lighting is not integrated into the stereo harness. i would then check for a break in any wiring.

I recall too when trying to wire my gauges in, that Mazda did something funky with the back lighting on those and that it uses like a digital or oscillating output from the dimmer control on the dash. It screws with my Prosport gauges sometimes too.

Double check the dimmer control wiring going into the new headunit. In fact, I would even disconnect it and see if the lighting works again. It could be shorting out or something.

Granted it's probably unrelated, but I recall my 2nd gen RX-7 had an issue with dimmer controls because Mazda did like a negative ground output to the stereo for dimmer, and not positive 12v like the aftermarket headunit wanted. I used a relay to fix the problem, but just a thought. Like Mazdaverx7 said, check the OEM wiring diagrams.

It sounds like you grounded on the wrong wire.

No, everything did by avic411.com forum. Move out mute wire to pin 4 and ground it with parking brake wire.

Resolved by replacement fuse #30 under hood.
