paying for TSB's??

Took the car in for the recall today. Along with the recall I asked for some other issues to be taken care of.
- check engine light
- squeaking/rattling noise from sunroof
- vibnration at idle, posssibly due to a cracked engine mount
- broken parking brake lever cover
- A/C ait temperature fluctuation and lack of cooling
- driver's side airbag rattle
- rough starts, also takes a long time to start sometimes (hoping for new starter, battery and plugs)
- condensation in right taillight

Now the dealer told me Im going to have to pay for any adjustments made. For example if the sunroof rails need to be adjusted im going to have to pay for the labor. If the drivers side air bag needs to be adjusted Im going to have to pay for the labor as well. Also if the gas cap is the cause of the check engine light Im going to have to pay for that. Now shouldnt all this be covered under warranty?
I got all the info from here - RX-8 Service Bulletins

Also this is the second time Im telling them about the vibration at idle. Last time they said everything is fine and its supposed to be like this. Well, I know it isnt. The vibration began occurring at around 22K miles, now Im at 28K. It wasnt like this befor 22K. What sould I do if they dont fix it?

Pertaining to the recall, I thought I was going to get the cx-7 as the loaner car or something equivalent, according to the dealer letter https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...60&postcount=7 . Well they gave me a neon. However they are going to pay for the rental only for two days. Arent they supposed to cover the full length of the recall?

Thanks for any advice, comments.

I've had several TSBs performed under warranty. If the dealer can document the complaint (like see moisture in the tail light, or the see the broken parking brake cover) then the TSB should be performed. If the TSB is performed within your warranty period, parts and labor are included, stick to your guns, you are in warranty you don't have to pay. Oh yeah and quit going to that crap *** dealer.

I also had a CEL for a minor vacuum leak after the third time in they replaced the gas cap (under warranty/free) and no CEL since. Regarding adjustments there is something about 12 months that I remember in the warranty info. If it isn't a documented TSB, they may be able to bill labor on stuff that may loosen over time.

i feel like i was hearing exactly what i posted not too long ago. hearing the same type of thing from a dealer out here in CT. funny b/c i actually moved here from Chicago but it's been a few years since i was there and that was pre-RX8.

as for the work, i finally got my guy to do the moisture brake light for me at no charge and just didn't even bother with the sunroof since it's not worth my time. also got the starter, batter, and plugs done after letting them know i had a couple rough starts. never flooded but didn't want it to so they checked it out and changed it for me. this dealer's excuse was that after 10K miles all of those little adjustments are maintenance issues and not warranty issues. when i need a new dealer you can bet i won't be going back to them and from the sounds of things you should probably pick another one too just as the rest of the crew is saying.

oh, as for getting a CX7 as a loaner, it's only if that dealer participates in the particular program. i'm too lazy to look up which one it is but the short version is that not all do so most are stuck with rentals.
