passenger side drl not working?
so..about two months ago my pass side daytime running light suddenly stopped working as the title of the thread would suggest..recently my passenger side headlight is now shutting off. if i turn the headlights off and on again it mysteriously comes back on. im guessing there must be a short somewhere but i honestly wouldnt know where to start. hopefully someone reads this and it makes sense to you...also,im using leds in the drl which i obviously replaced as soon as it went out a couple months back and that didnt fix it.im also using aftermarket hid bulbs. my car came stock with hid but i switched to a different color. i have yet to replace those as i dont see a reason too..if the bulb was burnt out it wouldnt work then shut off..then by flipping the on off switch magically not be burnt out..

1 - I understood US models don't come with DRLs.
2 - Did you install 'em or is it an import?
3 - How can you be using LED's for DRL's - the DRL system uses the high-beam lamps in series as the DRL.
4 - Or did you switch the Hi beams for LEDs, I'm confused.......

i understand why you would be confused cause apparently im retarded :0 sorry guys..not sure why i was calling them drls but what i am actally talking about is the side markers..its just a 194 bulb so its easily changed out to an led.hopefully that clears up the confusion caused by myself..haha not sure why i was so dead set on calling them daytime running lights

Turn on your side marker. Take the side bulb assembly out from the bumper, shake it, tug on the bulb/wires, does your light go on/off???
If so, you have a loose assembly you can fix easily.
The side markers are a simple on/off circuit. There is no electronics in between. The turn stalk activates a relay that drives power to to the lights.

passenger side marker has been off for a couple months and doesnt turn on at any time.the passenger side headlight shuts off after having the headlights on for a few minutes.if i turn the headlights off then back on it then comes back on but repeats the same process and soon shuts off.i checked the harness on the side marker and even cleaned it with electrical spray cleaner.i also changed the led bulb. im not sure if these two issues are related or if they are separate problems.id really like to get it fixed though as it looks like total crap rollin down the street with one headlight and one side marker

im thinking if it was a loose assembly it may flicker as you mentioned..ill try the old tug and pull method tomorrow if i get the chance after work..totally off subject but ive been driving the work van around for the past week anyway as im also going through a broken clutch pedal bracket problem waiting for my new assembly to arrive.i also ordered the race roots clutch pedal bracket reinforcement kit.some dude posted on here that he felt that kit made as much of a difference in clutch feel as his short throw shifter..i shall see i suppose and will post my thoughts about the piece. if even it doesnt feel any different at all i shouldnt have to worry about my clutch pedal falling off when im coming into a corner doing a heel and toe downshift ready to hit 3rd gear pinned haha
