Starting to get the P0661 (shutter valve) CEL. It comes on then after 2-3 drive cycles goes back off. Seems like maybe the valve is getting stuck just enough to throw the code, then maybe is working fine again and light goes back out. Does anyone know is this means the actual valve is sticking or maybe just a connection somewhere?

 

There is an updated shutter valve. Seeing as you have an 04, it wouldn't hurt. How many miles you got? Im sure the shutter valve is dirty as hell. At least clean it.

 

67000 miles. Does anyone know if there's a video or instruction on what needs to be removed to get to the valve for replacing it? I found the diagram but not sure about everything that we will need to remove. Thanks
