P0410 and struts? help(I researched but couldn't find answer)
So here's the dilemma
I originally had like 6~8 CEL codes according to the dealership when I got it
checked. P0717 P0456 P401 blah blah blah and don't get mad at me
because I do know how to site:RX8forum.com (search word)
I got them ALL cleared by replacing O2 sensor, ignition system(coils, plugs and
wires), new gas cap, new oil cap, new battery and cleaning MAF sensor etc.
I was happy for 3 days being CELess and then BAM comes the CEL ruining my day.
P0410!!!! only one code to go I guess lol
I know it's secondary air injection circuit fail and after doing some search I found
out that some people had problem with having no power at 4500 rpm? and also
some had 60v air pump fuse out. I realized that it's a no biggie since it's only for
Emissions at cold start but come on we all know CEL is a day ruiner!
My fuse was okay so is my next option replacing the airpump?
I mean I understand that it won't affect my driving and it hasn't(haven't noticed
any power loss at any rpm).
TX is pretty cool about giving out registration even with CEL on so probably
won't be a problem(I just got a new sticker this month).
So what should I do? Ignore it until I had to sell my 8? lol
and Also I'm trying to find a new cheap struts for my front side but what I don't
know is whether I need to get both rear and front all together if i'm not gonna
buy the OEM part and decide to go with after market struts. it keeps on making
this constant "grunk grunk grunk"(please excuse my lack of description) noise
while driving forward (so I ruled out wheel bearings and cv joint because i've
listened to wheel bearing noise and it doesn't sound like that and when I turn
it doesn't make those cv joint noises so I ruled it out I hear cv joint problem
becomes obvious while turning but my 8 doesn't make any sound while turning)
I did notice the "bushing"? of my struts right now ripped on the front side
though so I'm guessing that could be the cause of grunk'ing noise?
what do you guys think? I'd appreciate any kind of input!
Thanks!
oh and my car is 100,600miles 2004 RX8
