Overcharged ac -_-
 

So the rx8 was blowing mediocre air. I checked the ac with a gauge and it was a bit low. So I only had a little bit left of that freon in a can kit that I purchased in autozone. The handle got stuck since it was an older kit and I ended up breaking the connector just to stop it from dispensing more liquid. Point is after the whole situation the car shoots warm air because the pressure is to high with freon. How do I release some of it to normal pressure?

Your best and most environmentally friendly way to do it is to have it recovered in an A/C charge/recovery machine. You can find one at any A/C shop. Probably only charge you about $50 and it will be set to the correct volume of R134a.
Just that easy.

And the non-environmentally friendly way and possibly illegal way, is to just bleed it from the valve. :)

134a is not exactly illegal to vent in small quantities. A lot of aerosol chemicals use 134a as propellant.
The, just need to get by method would be to hook the stupid hose and gauge up to the low side and turn the air on full blast. Than do short bursts from the high side service port by the battery until its in the "green" zone of operation and no longer short cycling the high pressure switch.
Its not exact but will limit compressor damage and get you by till you can have a PROPER A/C shop fix it.

just vent it little by little "until" you are happy with the A/C's performance.

It is true most air dusters use the r134a and you can legally vent those all you want. However it is still illegal to vent it from an AC system rather than get it pulled out. I know it is stupid but there is some type of loophole for the air dusters because it is not being used in refrigeration(or so I have read).

I'm with you though they should just vent some and be done with it it wont cause any harm.

more and more air dusters actually use R154a, and it's a MUCH better refrigerant
