Oil light came on...again.

I've owned my '07 GT since new and just recently had a reman installed before my warranty was up. A few weeks ago my oil light came on while at highway speeds, I immediately pulled over and shut down the car. I then checked my oil and it was fine, as usual, so I added a touch more to top it off and started it up no more light. Today while I was on the highway again the oil light came on (only 2nd time since I've owned the car), so I pulled over and shut it down. Checked the oil, and it was down maybe half a quart, nowhere near low where the light should illuminate. I added maybe 1/4 quart, started it up and light is gone. In both situations my oil pressure gauge was reading normal and the oil levels were normal. Do I have to get my oil pan replaced?
Any thoughts??

I could be off base but try pulling the sensor on the oil pan inspect it clean it see what happens won't cost you anything but changing your oil and time. Could be a falty sensor.

Your oil pres is a switch not a gauge. It shows the same thing as long as you have some pressure.

Ive had the oil light off and on from running at high engine speeds for a prolonged time. Normally i let off the throttle and it will go out then ill stomp on it again.

There is a TSB for this issue. The low oil level light is one thing, there is no light for low or high oil pressure.

If it is a bad sensor in my oil pan, would it be covered under some type of warranty, where I just inherited a faulty oil pan in the reman that dealer installed about a month ago?

The extended engine warranty would not cover this. The basic bumper to bumper would.
