new engine!!!

so ive been having alot of problems with my car and I finally took it in to the dealer for a compression check.(which was $175) A day later they called back and said they need to replace the two trailing spark plugs and coils for $150. At this time, I started thinking that they were gonna just have me pay to replace everything after they tested but the next day they told me that i lossed compression in rotor 2 which means im getting a new engine!!! They said, and i quote, " your gonna have a engine with 0 miles on it"... So is this technically true?? If so, do they change my odometer to 0? (and sorry im a noob) How many new engine owners had problems later with their so called "new engines"?
thanks guys

Tach = RPM.

They won't reset your odometer, the odometer = KM on the CAR, not the motor.

It'll likely be a rebuild I think though. It's just as good as new, as the internals are brand new.

It will be just like having a new car though, engine wise. You'll need to do the break-in again.

i am at over 65k miles with a rebuilt motor. it works fine.

make sure you get you money back for everything you have spent before.. as it was not the problem and did not fix it..

unless you are really lucky, you will most likely get a Remanufacture engine from somewhere.

Hmm, I think its time for you to ask them for a refund of everything that you've paid, cuz OBVIOUSLY the compression check was a fat lie, the coils and plugs u paid were not the cause. so yeah, if I were you, I will ask for a refund on those items.

Actually, if you paid for these items just get them back and save them for when you need them.

i lost compression on my 04 w 51k on it. did the plugs, coils, wires, and needed a new battery. its gonna be 1150 otd. the coils, plugs, and wires did not fix so i am getting a new motor. it has been running shitty for some time, but i am fine paying it, cuz i will have new plugs, wires, coils, and motor for a little over a grand. i just want it to run like the day i bought it. cant wait to drive it next week when i get it back.

I put in OEM plugs, coils, wires, and a good quality battery for $310 in about an hour. How many dollars an hour do they charge? Must take them 6-7 hours or you are paying double for your parts.
