Well awhile back my car got stuck on the freeway because the car wont shift period. the car was towed to the local dealership in sacromento where i never get the car served at. They said it would be done by thursday or so i thought.......
Well they called my brother back and said they need $5,000 to fix it . Tech guy said something about a bad bearings becuase it was abused to much..well only when the time came to it.. since the start i had problems shifting into 4th gear at high rpms (could this be a factor?)
The car will not be staying in sacromento and will be moved to my regular dealer where we usually get it fixed becuase i think 5G's is to much.

I dont know as much but is there anything i can do about this...like complaining or warrenty or anything like that?

I would hope this is a warranty covered item unless they can prove you abused it somehow. Did you buy your RX new? and if so, did you have an issue before with that gear? Yeah, $5K sounds a bit over priced and so I would get the car to your regular garage. Hope it works out for you.

 

How many miles on your car? What's the build date? Another one bites the dust... They replaced my tranny and clutch. They covered it under warranty that time, but the bill would have been $4500. Look around at all of the other transmission issues and see if any sound like yours.

 

oh we just went with the rebuild thats half the price there gonna replace the clucth,flywheel,and rebuild the tranny.the car is bought new one week after the car came out in the u.s. So its the early builds

 

Mileage? They rebuilt mine the first time, then it wasn't right so they replaced the transmission and clutch. It still wasn't right and the clutch exploded. Now I've had my car for over 2 more months without a tranny. Hope you have better luck!
