need help..burning smell!
hey guys and gals..hoping to find some help on this issue....i have an 04 with around 84k, and recently after my deployment to iraq i was reunited with my 8...and soon after driving it...i stopped and i smelled something burning...i got out and checked the tires...smell is almost like burning rubber..or clutch..than i thought it was the belts...so i checked the belts..belts were good...strange thing is , this burning smell only is apparent when im stopping or slowing down to almost a complete stop... i have no ideas..and any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
THANKS!
THANKS!

Could it just be dust and whatnot in/on your exhaust/engine burning off? Also did you plug your exhaust tips while you were gone to keep any animals out of your exhaust...Ive heard they like to nest in there sometimes. Whatever it is...welcome back...and thank you.

hmm..i havent check underneath the car yet...and the smell is pretty much constant, still happens today..just only after i've driven it for a long period of time...or at high rpms... the e-brake was engaged, but was driven once a week ..every week or so.. and i'm not sure if it is just the dust or whatnot burning off..cause its still happening now...after i've driven it 21 hours back to base... thanks for your inputs..i really do appreciate it...
and your welcome..its good to be home...
