My RX8 Engine Management light & Wont start 1st time???
Hi all
Hope someone can give me some advice, bare with me as i am no good with engines in cars lol.
Ive had my Rx8 for two months now and has been fine until i flooded the engine sunday, I called out the AA out and was told it was flooded really bad. He then went through the prodcedure in the manual and kept his foot on the gas, turning it over. Then taking his foot of the gas, turning it over and trying to get it to start. This was done quite a few times and when turning it over did it for longer than the 10s that was stated so finially it did start. Anyway to the problem now since then it never seems to start 1st time i have to follow that procedure just to get it started most days and when it does start the engine management light will show. this will the dissapear after a day or so but then will come back on when it wont start 1st time and i have to follow the obove procedure. Surely i cant still be flooded?
before i purchased the car it had a new service at 80000 and new coil packs.
any ideas what the problem could be? ive tried to explain it best way i can any question please ask
thanks
