I have an 05 with 80k on it, a new engine was put in at 26k and I have been experiencing stalls after driving at high speeds when I come to a stop. Last night after about a 40 mile drive on the Illinois tollway I pulled off to get gas and the engine shuts off. Wouldn't start back up for about 10 minutes, then I drive 10 more miles at about 80 mph then I pull over to see if it would die out and it does, then a few minutes at an exit ramp it dies out again.

These 2 times it starts back up and then for another half hour I'm in stop and go traffic and it's fine. On the trip back home it stalls out one more time after a long trip on the tollway.

This has been happening on and off for a few months, a few weeks ago the one of the battery cables were loose so I thought that was the reason then I had one of the cables replaced.

A P2096 CEL code comes on and off but for now it's off.

Any suggestions?
