my car= pissing me off

Ok... I thought I'd try something out there is a nice 90 degree patch of pavement which happens to be very wide and very non-public...

I wanted to get a nice 50mph heel-toe downshift drift around it... I was lining it up perfectly everything was going great and then... It jerked back to the straight position, and went silent I'm looking at my gear shift its still in second, and I'm pushing on the gas and nothings happening... I stepped on the clutch & brake came to a stop put it back in 1st and went again...

Basically what I'm describing is a FULL fuel cut that occured while DSC is off...

This is bullshit... I bought this goddamn car to have fun, and it thinks it can drive itself.

I need to know how to COMPLETELY eliminate all nanny and ABS systems permanently... I've never been in a situation where the systems would actually help me. at all.

I dont need it, I dont want it, and if i crash it while its gone its my own damn fault...

Anyone who wants to kick some shit at me in this thread need not apply certainly not in the mood to read it.

1. having the fuel cut off while moving is not something the DSC is doing.. that sounds like an issue with fuel pump/ fuel filter / lack of gas in the tank/ etc. And when you say the DSC was off, did you push the button once.. or hold it down for the 7 seconds?

2. As long as you're going all Tokyo Drift on your car in a non public area (private lot) then good luck to you. If you're doing it on a public street then I hope you die a horribly slow and painful death.

3. Someone coming to this board asking for advice on how to eliminate all the "nanny and abs systems permanently" both needs them and will be in many situations where the systems would actually help them.

Sorry you're not in the mood to read me kicking shit at you, but you come off as someone who's use to hearing it.

Search for fuel starvation issues; it's a known problem that the fuel can shift during hard turns and uncover the inlet.

But maybe it was the TCS...

You need to hold down the button for about 7 seconds, I think, to disable both DSC and TCS. They stay off until you restart the car.

You made a similar thread back in August. Did you ever change the plugs & coils?

Have you tried pulling the ABS fuse?

Sooooooo...........what happened the second time you tried to drift around this corner?

Because it sounds like you tried this once, and when the engine cut off you gave up and left.

Might help to know if it happened again and again and again.....if it is a one time deal then no need for you to get drastic nor us do a diagnosis.

happenned twice.. I always try to duplicate an issue before giving it credibility.

Razz1 09-19-2008 10:32 PM

Did you hold the DSC button for at leat 7 seconds?
