1 Attachment(s)
just purchased a brandy new cf front strut bar
heres how it went took the old strut bar off put the new one on but the main bracket were the bolts go through for the shock to bolt into the strut bar the hole were a little off soo i lossened the lock nut allen head on the main bar on both ends put it into place and torqued the main bolts down then when they were in place i tightened up the lock nut allen head bolts for the main bar...is that ok i loosened those two bolts or does mazda ship them out in spec from were they should be just curious:dunno: |
You should be just fine! Don't worry about it, I had to do the same thing(I think?) a few years ago when putting mine in.

yes

Do you have enough room to put a rebound adjuster on the dampers? My stock strut bar is in the way.
|
Thats the reason why those bolts are there.
*sigh ... where is the common sense these days ... * |
You might be missing my question. I have KW3s with rebound adjusters. The stock strut bars shroud that area so I can't get the adjuster handle on the adjuster. I can barely turn them with a needle nose pliers. If the MS tie bar has more open area directly above the adjuster, it will be easy to adjust the dampers. sigh
