Hello
I have a 2008 231, I keep getting a heavy knock from the front at low speeds. It occurs on both sides and it is getting worse.
I have taken it to mazda who gave their standard response of "there is nothing wrong with it" when they cant find something obvious.


Here is what I have done so far:


New anti roll bar bushes with grease.
New droplinks, checked and rechecked torque.
New shocks and top mount bushes.
New brake pads (just in case the were moving in the caliper).
Preloaded and re torqued all bushes.


The pass the inspection fine with no obvious movement on any of the joints.


understand that there is some noise from the steering system but tis is a heavy clunk.


I am thinking maybe the steering rack maybe to blame, has any one come across this?
My car has done 51000 miles.
