TN Keyless entry doesn't work

I have an 04 base. When i got the car the guy said the battery was dead. I bought a new one and it didn't work. i found how to program it and still nothing. I was hoping the remote was bad. I ordered another one and yet again nothing. Now I think something is wrong with the car. Is this common for these cars? What is the normal solution? Any help would be great.

You can't program the remote yourself unless you have a known good remote. The car has to recognize the good one before it will program a new remote. The dealer can program the remote if it is new and you don't have a good one, or at least they should be able to do that. Second, it could be the receiver in the car. I had that go bad once. Best of luck.

You'll have to remove the glove compartment to get to it:
