K&n aintake help

Alright I bought my car awhile ago and this intake came with it I tried to put it on the other night and everything matches up except on the bottom of the stock air box there are two things hanging off of it and I didn't want to screw with it so I put it back together. Now the intake I've tried to match it up with other typhoon intakes for the rx8 but nothing comes up all the new ones have the wall behind the filter. Does this intake even fit with my car. I know it sound stupid but I just want to know. This things eyeing me down every night I drive in my garage....:/ any help would be appreciated!

you have the 1st version of this intake, everything should match up right. i dont understand what you are talking about? those 3 nipples go to the 3 hoses that are on the left side, everything else is a direct swap, and only one other nipple should be capped off which is on the intake manifold.

Thanks just got it on and sounds great. But I didn't see the nipple that needs to be capped.

its the VFAD that needs to be capped you can get them at autozone, orileys, kragen etc. it's on the under side of the upper intake manifold on the right.

this is it here:https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/vfad-hose-location-219112/
